In-home Care for Multicultural Community

As a not-for-profit organisation serving Perth's multicultural community, we offer culturally and linguistically tailored, personalised services that enable our care recipients to live independently.

We believe every individual deserves dignity and respect, regardless of background or beliefs. Embracing and valuing our differences is essential, as it enriches our experiences and helps create a more inclusive and vibrant environment. By actively recognising and celebrating diversity, we foster a sense of belonging in which everyone feels valued and empowered.

Collective Care Companions strongly believe that the ability to live independently, with appropriate support, is vital to people’s wellbeing and fulfilment – even more so for people who may face additional life challenges due to their language and cultural differences.

Our trained staff provide exceptional support to our care recipients, consistently adhering to our organisation’s mission and values. Whenever possible, we match each participant with a support worker who deeply understands their cultural background and is fluent in their first language.

Tailored and Personalised Services to All Participants!

We offer homecare services designed to meet the cultural and linguistic needs of multicultural communities!

Homecare support for Individuals from Multicultural Backgrounds

We recognise that people from multicultural backgrounds often face greater barriers to accessing care. Collective Care Companions is dedicated to addressing the cultural and language requirements of all our senior Australians in need of support, as well as NDIS participants.

Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD)

People from CALD backgrounds include those with diverse cultural roots. This often means individuals born overseas or with ancestors from countries where English isn’t the primary language. Both the NDIS and Aged Care use this term to better understand and support the communities.

In what ways do Collective Care Companions assist participants from multicultural backgrounds?

Collective Care Companions was warmly established to help and uplift the multicultural communities in Perth.

– Finding and matching care workers who speak your language.

– Providing carers who can prepare nutritious, culturally acceptable food to support your health and wellbeing.

– Our care plans focus on your cultural needs, such as honouring your cultural or spiritual beliefs, strengthening your links to culture and community through social activities and outings, assisting with religious or cultural requirements—particularly concerning food, spiritual practices, or personal care—and maintaining connections with family and friends.

– Offering continuous cultural training for employees.

– We listen to our participants, and if they want us to keep cultural identity or information private, we will respect their wishes.
