NDIS Eligibility Criteria

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding support to eligible Australians with permanent and significant disability. To be eligible for NDIS funding, you generally need to:

· Be aged between 9 and 65 years old

· Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa

· Have a permanent and significant disability that affects your ability to participate in everyday activities

· Lives in Australia

Types of support NDIS funding covers

These supports and services fall into three categories.

· Core: A support that helps with daily living activities.

· Capital: A support for an investment, for example, home or vehicle modifications, or funding for capital costs, including SDA -Specialist Disability Accommodation.

· Capacity building: Something that helps build independence and skills.

Night Time Sleepover $297.60 An 8 hour overnight period during which the staff member may sleep when not required to work. The rate includes up to 2 hours of active support within the 8-hour period; any additional active support is billed at the hourly rate. There must be at least four hours of active care before or after the sleepover period.
