This involves recognising and respecting diverse cultural identities, removing barriers related to language or cultural misunderstandings, and actively engaging with communities to ensure their voices shape the care provided. By fostering trust and understanding, Collective Care Companions aim to facilitate greater participation, independence, and wellbeing for people from multicultural backgrounds, ensuring equitable opportunities within the broader community.
· Wound assessment and dressing changes
· Stoma, catheter and tracheostomy care
· Complex bowel and continence management
· Diabetes and insulin management
· PEG feeds and enteral nutrition
· Medication management
· Health education for NDIS participants and support staff
· Be aged between 9 and 65 years old
· Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa
· Have a permanent and significant disability that affects your ability to participate in everyday activities
· Lives in Australia

· Capacity building: Something that helps build independence and skills.
