Dan Gunawardana

Managing Director/ CEO

Dan is a qualified accountant with nearly twenty years’ experience across administrative, finance, and executive roles in the aged care and disability sector. Through this experience, Dan has developed broad expertise in sustainable service delivery and best-practice governance, ensuring that services not only meet regulatory requirements but also deliver real value to those who need it most.

Driven by a genuine passion for culturally appropriate, high-quality homecare services, Dan is committed to enhancing the independence and well-being of individuals and families in local communities who require specialised care.

Dan’s compassionate nature, industry knowledge, and unwavering desire to create positive change have been the driving forces behind a career dedicated to service. Recognising the need for innovative, community-focused solutions, Dan founded Collective Care Companions—a not-for-profit charity committed to delivering holistic care and support to the community.

Bev Wright

Beverley brings a wealth of experience to our team, with an extensive background in Aged Care management and a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of elderly individuals and people with disabilities. With over eight years spent in various leadership roles within Aged Care services, and more than ten years in senior positions in Superannuation and Banking, Beverley is renowned for her commitment to improving care systems, streamlining operations, and championing client-centred care.

Currently, Beverley serves on the Board of another organisation as well as on a Clinical Governance and Research Committee, both within the Aged Care and Disability sector. Her dedication extends beyond governance; she also operates her own business supporting clients to access Residential Care. Beverley expertly guides families through the complexities of aged care systems, demystifies financial matters, and ensures that every care facility can meet her clients’ unique needs—helping reduce stress for families navigating challenging and unfamiliar times.

Throughout her career in Aged Care, Beverley has witnessed firsthand how early intervention and the right guidance can enable people to remain in their own homes for longer. This insight has fuelled her passion for proactive support and her advocacy for safe, comfortable care for all West Australians.

When Beverley isn’t working, you’ll likely find her spending quality time with her beloved grandchildren or indulging her creative side in front of an easel, lost in the world of oil painting.

Dale Brown

Dale is an experienced Director and senior executive with over 20 years of leadership across community services, disability, aged care, Indigenous, and government-related organisations. He has served as Chief Executive Officer of multiple complex organisations with revenues up to $50 million and significant asset portfolios, working closely with boards to deliver strong governance, sustainable growth, and measurable social impact.

Dale brings deep commercial and financial acumen, underpinned by early career experience as CFO for Coles Supermarkets WA and complemented by his completion of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course. He is recognised for blending strategic discipline with purpose-driven leadership, fostering ethical, inclusive cultures, and aligning mission with operational excellence to achieve long-term outcomes for communities and stakeholders.

Rob McCullagh

Rob brings extensive experience from both the public and private sectors, working predominantly in project commercial and financial roles. He has served on a range of school and industry association boards and committees, contributing expertise in strategy, governance, and risk management.

Rob holds postgraduate qualifications in public sector leadership and an MBA, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD). He is motivated by a commitment to ensuring dignity, quality, and duty of care for all service recipients, and is honoured to join Collective Care Companions as a Non-Executive Director to help shape positive outcomes for the community it serves.

Kirtida Shah

Kirtida Shah is an allied health professional and dedicated community leader since last 20 plus years in Western Australia. Born in Ahmedabad, Kirtida migrated to Perth, Western Australia along with her family in 2005 and has since strived to promote both Gujarati and Indian culture amongst the wider Australian population. Her passions include women empowerment, awareness and education on domestic violence, engagement and promoting Indian culture, tradition and values.

Kirtida has served in multiple roles within the Gujarati Samaj, helping organise events promoting Gujarati festivals and traditions such as Navratri. She was also awarded the Shiromani award in 2019, in recognition of her commitment and dedication to the samaj.

In addition to this, Kirtida continues to work with the Indian Society of Western Australia (ISWA), in her role as vice-chair of the ISWA Women’s Wing. Through her role, she has organised a range of events focused on women empowerment, women’s health, entrepreneurship and networking. An example of this is ‘Naari 2021,’ a flagship event celebratingfemale entrepreneurs on International Women’s Day which was attended by over 3000 individuals. Her philanthropic work involves helping survivors of domestic violence with accommodation, legal matters and long-term planning.

Kirtida was also an integral part of helping the community during the COVID-19 pandemic, leading the organisation ofchartered flights to India from stranded citizens and family members. Furthermore, she arranged a taskforce in-charge of providing essential groceries for Indian students as well as individuals living in rural area. Her efforts were greatly appreciated by the Indian diasporaz.

Kirtida’s work in the community allowed her to recognise a significant gap for arranged marriage in the community, leading to the establishment of Saptapadi- a not-for-profit matrimonial service to connect youth in Australia. This service has been utilised by numerous families and continues to provide a platform for community engagement.

Overall, Kirtida continues to be an active member of the community, acting in her official and unofficial roles to improve the wellbeing of Indians every day in Western Australia.

Ajith Rajagopal

Ajith is a seasoned leader and strategist with extensive experience in service management and healthcare innovation. As a Non-Executive Director at Collective Care Companions, he provides high-level governance and strategic oversight, ensuring the organisation remains at the forefront of delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

With a professional background that includes serving as an EMHS Service Manager at CO HIVE, Ajith brings a deep understanding of virtual care delivery models, particularly for residents in Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACF). His expertise lies in bridging the gap between traditional healthcare services and modern, technology-enabled care solutions to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Based in the Greater Perth Area, Ajith is committed to fostering community-focused care environments. Ajith holds a strong reputation for his ability to navigate complex service delivery landscapes, making him a vital asset to the Collective Care Companions leadership team.
